Transparent Plastic With High Strength & Rigidity
Udel® PSU (polysulfone) is a rigid, high-strength, semi-tough, transparent plastic that offers higher heat resistance and better hydrolytic stability than polycarbonate. It retains its good mechanical properties when exposed to steam and other sterilization techniques.

Udel® PSU polymers are particularly well suited for the fabrication of porous hollow fiber and flat sheet membranes using a solvent-based process. These high molecular weight polymers are used in a variety of membrane filtration applications, such as renal dialysis, water treatment, bio-processing, food and beverage processing, and industrial gas separation.

The Udel P-3500 LCD is an extremely high molecular weight polysulfone with the highest toughness and chemical resistance among the available brands.Very suitable for extrusion. The advantage of the Udel P-3500 LCD stems from its lower levels of a circular dimeric polymer. Polysulfone is a high-toughness, high-rigidity, and transparent, high-strength thermoplastic suitable for long-term use at temperatures up to 300 ° F (149 ° C). Antioxidant, antihydrolysis, can be exposed to high temperature environment for a long time, and can be repeated sterilization.

Polysone is resistant to inorganic acids, alkali, salt solutions, detergents, and hydrocarbon oils.Contact with polar solvents such as ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons should be avoided because these types of compounds are prone to stress cracking or dissolution of polyfoxy resin. Polysone well resists gamma-ray or electron beam radiation degradation, but prolonged exposure to UV light is adversely affected.Very stable electrical performance in a wide temperature range, after immersion in water, or when exposed to highly humid environments.The resin is very safe in contact with the food product.Meet CFR 177,1655 standards and can be used for reusable items with food contact.In addition, NSF, USDA meat and poultry exposure, and Dairy Association 3-A hygiene standards were meet.
