Arkema Kynar PVDF Grade :
Fluoropolymers
Arkema is the world leader in the production of PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) resins. This range of thermoplastic resins exhibits exceptional properties, in particular weathering resistance, chemical resistance and superior mechanical properties at a wide range of temperatures. Arkema markets its production under the Kynar® brand.
Since 1965, the Kynar® brand has become known globally as an emblem of quality and innovation. Kynar® resins are known for their extreme properties (durability, resistance, and longevity) as well as their ease of processing.
* Extreme weather (UV) resistance
* Tremendous chemical resistance
* Excellent flame & smoke properties
* Radiation resistance
* Outstanding electrochemical stability
* Selective solubility
* Ease of processing (molding, extrusion, casting, welding, forming, etc.)
Arkema’s Kynar® PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) and flexible copolymers are world famous for their balance of easy-processing and tremendous resistance and durability. With manufacturing facilities in each of the major regional markets – North America, Europe, and Asia, we continue to invest in order to supply our customers globally while servicing them locally.
KYNAR® 720 is a semi-crystalline low molecular weight pelletized polymer of vinylidene fluoride. It is a versatile engineering plastic with an outstanding balance of physical and chemical properties which qualify it for high performance service in a wide range of applications. It is a thermoplastic fluoropolymer capable of being fabricated in standard processing equipment. The molecular weight and molecular weight distribution have been carefully tailored to supply a grade suitable for a variety of processing requirements and end-use applications.
KYNAR® 720 is recommended for fine extrusion operations such as monofilament and thin, flat, and blown film. It is also suitable for injection molding applications where very thin cross-sections for intricate design require excellent melt flow characteristics. KYNAR® 720 is also suggested for coextrusion of composite constructions and as a base for filled or alloyed KYNAR® compounds.
The powder form of this resin grade is available as KYNAR® 721 PVDF.
