Elastollan® is the brand name for thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) from BASF. Over the last few decades, the numerous benefits of Elastollan® in all its forms – aromatic or aliphatic, very soft or glass fiber-reinforced, flame retardant or highly transparent – have been clearly demonstrated across every sector of industry.

Elastollan® R 3000 is a polyester-polyurethane elastomer reinforced with 20% glass fiber. Is a recyclable grade and offers outstanding mechanical properties such as high impact strength, high modulus, elasticity and stiffness. Provides good elastic recovery with resistance over a wide range of temperatures, low mold shrinkage and ease of paintability. Possesses low coefficient of linear expansion comparable with steel and aluminium. Exhibits abrasion-, tear and kink-resistance as well as good oil- and grease resistance. Is processed by injection molding. Suitable for automotive body and rocker panels, underbody sealants and technical moldings such as plugs and ski tips.
